Running back Qadree Ollison had success on the ground running the ball 23 times for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns. Wide Receiver Tyler Boyd led the Panthers with 12 catches for 93 yards and no touchdowns. Lafayette Pitts and Matt Galambos were big for Pittsburgh on defense, each recording an interception. Pittsburgh will try to make it 5 in a row when they host North Carolina this weekend.
North Carolina has now won 6 games in a row after defeating the Virginia Cavaliers 26-13. Quarterback Marquise Williams went 21/26 for 226 yards with no touchdowns and 1 interception. Williams also added 12 carries for 71 yards on the ground. Running back Elijah Hood carried the ball 21 times for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns. Bug Howard and Quinshad Davis led the Tar Heels in receiving combining for 8 catches for 83 yards. Malik Simmons, Sam Smiley and Shakeel Rashad combined for 4 interceptions on defense. North Carolina will have a tough test traveling to Pittsburgh who is just as hot as the Tar Heels.
