The Detroit Tigers have placed JaCoby Jones on the 10-day injured list. In a corresponding move, the Tigers have recalled outfielder Victor Reyes from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday. Jones left the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Chicago White Sox with back spasms, and did not play in the nightcap. Brian Buckey of the Toledo Blade confirmed that Reyes was held out of the Mud Hens’ Wednesday evening matchup due to the pending call-up. While Jones may not miss many games due to the All-Star break next week, the injury comes at a poor time for the 27-year-old center fielder.
