Diamondbacks agree on 4 year extension with Nick Ahmed

The Diamondbacks have agreed to a four-year contract extension with shortstop Nick Ahmed, the club informed Monday afternoon. The deal is worth $32.5 million, per Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic. Ahmed was set to hit free agency after this coming season, so it includes his final arbitration year and the first three years of would-be free agency.  Ahmed heads to his age-30 season coming off the best year of his career.
