Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander has resumed throwing as he recuperates from March groin surgery. Houston manager Dusty Baker stated Wednesday that Verlander, who had surgery on March 17, is “doing great” and is throwing as he continues his rehabilitation. Slugger Mark Reynolds is retiring after hitting 298 homers over 13 campaigns with eight teams. The 36-year-old made the announcement Thursday on SiriusXM Radio.
