Juddmonte’s Champion Arrogate dies at 7

Juddmonte Farms’ brilliant racehorse and promising stallion Arrogate  was euthanized June 2 after a weeklong battle with an apparent neurological illness, the cause of which is still undetermined. Winding down a successful third breeding season, Juddmonte reported that Arrogate’s breeding schedule had been suspended the last week in May due to a suspected sore neck. Later in the week, the 7-year-old son of Unbridled’s Song fell to the ground in his stall and efforts to get him back on his feet were unsuccessful. The farm sent the stallion to Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, where he was under the care of Dr. Bob […]

Charter flights to ferry US Open tennis players and limited entourages from Europe, South America and the Middle East to New York. Negative COVID-19 tests before traveling. Centralized housing. Daily temperature checks. No spectators. Fewer on-court officials. No locker-room access on practice days. All are among the scenarios being contemplated for the 2020 US Open — if it is held at all amid the coronavirus pandemic — and described to The Associated Press by a high-ranking official at the Grand Slam tournament. “All of this is still fluid,” Stacey Allaster, the U.S. Tennis Association’s chief executive for professional tennis, said […]

Bones out, Jon Jones says he’ll vacate UFC title

Jon Jones says he’s no longer the UFC light heavyweight champion while his ongoing feud with company president Dana White continues to get more tense. Jones seemingly hit a boiling point following comments from White at Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 9 post-fight news conference. The two sides have been going back-and-forth in recent days, with the entire situation stemming from “Bones” looking for what White said was a boost in payment to move to heavyweight and fight Francis Ngannou. White refused to improve Jones’ contract, and pointed to Jones’ history of outside-the-cage issues as something that’s hurt his star power in the sport. […]

What is the Max bet rule?

The name of the rule is quite self-explanatory it is a maximum bet restriction that is put in place by casinos when you are playing with an active bonus. It basically prevents you from betting over a certain amount when playing table and slot casino games. Betting over the permitted amount means that you are in breach of the rules and in the risk of forfeiting your winnings and the bonus. This might sound unfair to you, but it really isn’t, seeing as how it’s only normal for casinos to protect themselves versus massive wins (or losses, rather). They have to […]
