MLB suspends Alex Cora for conduct with Astros

On Wednesday, commissioner Rob Manfred released his report detailing MLB’s investigation into the 2018 Red Sox. The Red Sox were said to have illegally stolen signs that season — a World Series championship season — and Manfred’s report affirmed those suspicions. Video replay operator J.T. Watkins was found to have used video to illegally steal signs in real time. “I find that J.T. Watkins, the Red Sox video replay system operator, on at least some occasions during the 2018 regular season, utilized the game feeds in the replay room, in violation of MLB regulations, to revise sign sequence information that […]

Jaguars release OFT-Injured WR Marqise Lee

The Jacksonville Jaguars are parting ways with wide receiver Marqise Lee, the team informed Monday. Lee battled injuries throughout his career and never became the game-changing player the team hoped he would be when he was drafted in the second round in 2014. Lee, who turned 28 in November, is due to make $6.25 million in base salary and count $8.75 million against the salary cap in 2020, but the emergence of DJ Chark along with veteran Chris Conley made Lee expendable. The Jaguars save $5.25 million with the move, but they also absorb $3.5 million in dead money. Jacksonville […]

Casino Games with Best Payout

This article is concerned with the theoretical payout, which is in essence a long term estimate – in an infinite number of hands – of how much money you’ll get to keep or how much of your money will the casino keep. A perfect game would be a 100% payout and a 0% house edge, which would mean you can play the game infinitely without losing any money. If the game has a 99% payout and a 1% house edge, that means that if you play the game for a very long time you’d lose 1% of all the money […]

Charles Fipke gives small breeders relief by waiving fees for seven stallions

Owner and breeder Charles Fipke will be waiving the 2020 breeding fees on all his stallions in order to provide some help to small breeders who could be particularly hard-hit by the economic drop from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to longtime consultant Sid Fernando. “What can I say? Small breeders will especially be affected by the economic conditions, and they are the backbone of this industry,” Fipke said in statement. “None of my stallions stand for more than $5,000, and they are primarily supported by small breeders. Because I own my stallions outright and don’t have shareholder responsibilities, I […]

Mark Reynolds says he’s retiring after 13 year career

Slugger Mark Reynolds is retiring after hitting 298 homers over 13 campaigns with eight teams. The 36-year-old made the announcement Thursday on SiriusXM Radio. When the free agent was asked whether he still was pursuing a new team, Reynolds said he has “moved beyond that, I’ve retired.” He added that he’s enjoying spending time with his family and it was time for him “to find something else to do.” Reynolds was a prime example of the rise of all-or-nothing masher. His best years came with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He hit .260 in 2009 and set a career high with 44 […]
