Since arriving in the big leagues six years ago, Domingo Germán has been anything but perfect. Until now. The New York Yankees right-hander pitched the 24th perfect game in major league history Wednesday night, retiring every Oakland batter in an 11-0 triumph over the Athletics. Hawks deal John Collins to Jazz, open huge exception

In a deal that delivers the franchise dramatic financial flexibility, the Atlanta Hawks are trading forward John Collins to the Utah Jazz, sources told ESPN on Monday. The Hawks are getting forward Rudy Gay and a future second-round pick for Collins, who is owed $78 million over the next three seasons, sources said. The swap creates a $25.3 million trade exception for the Hawks — the largest in the NBA. Atlanta has a year to potentially use the exception to take on a player’s contract. Timberwolves, center Naz Reid agree on 3-year, $42M deal

Minnesota Timberwolves center Naz Reid has agreed on a new three-year, $42 million contract that includes a player option, his agents, Sean Kennedy and Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management, told ESPN on Sunday.
