Titans agree to deal with former Seahawks safety Jamal Adams

The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a deal with free agent safety Jamal Adams, the team revealed Thursday. A seven-year veteran, Adams spent the past four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks before he was released March 5. Tennessee currently has Amani Hooker and Elijah Molden listed as its starting safeties. Adams will compete for one of the starting spots when camp opens July 23. The Seahawks parted with two first-round picks to obtain Adams from the New York Jets in 2020 — one of the biggest swings of the John Schneider/Pete Carroll era — and then made him the NFL’s highest-paid safety a year later with a four-year, $70 million extension. Krejikova downs Ostapenko in battle of past French Open champs

Barbora Krejcikova reached her first Wimbledon semifinal under blue skies on Wednesday with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) victory over Latvian 13th seed Jelena Ostapenko in the battle of past French Open champions. The Czech 31st seed kept her composure from the back of the court to force her adversary into 35 unforced errors across the match, as Ostapenko’s bid for a second Grand Slam title since her first in 2017 unraveled on Court One. Krejcikova won her first Grand Slam title on the red clay at Roland Garros in 2021, but never had put together a five-match winning streak on grass until now. […]
