In quarterfinals action Wednesday, Murray defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 7-6(10) 6-1 3-6 4-6 6-1, and Berdych took out Lucas Pouille, 7-6(4) 6-3, 6-2.

Tomas Berdych is coming off a straight sets win over Lucas Pouille that took less than two hours to finish. In the victory, Berdych won 45 of 52 first serve points and racked up 35 winners and 24 unforced errors. Berdych has won no less than 86 percent of his first serve points in his last two matches and has produced 87 winners during that span as well. Berdych’s calling card is his powerful serve and when the percentages are that high, he can beat anybody in the world. Berdych does have two victories this season over top-10 players and five dating back to last season. Berdych hopes to make his second career grand slam final. Berdych has won eight of his last 10 matches on grass.

Andy Murray is coming off a five set win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga that took nearly four hours. In the victory, Murray won 74 of 101 first serve points and racked up 46 winners and 23 unforced errors. Murray was able to avoid the letdown after winning the first two sets, and now has to be able to recover from such a draining match that probably didn’t need to be so long. Still, Murray is playing some flawless tennis overall and has now won 23 of his last 28 sets. Murray is super focused on his first grand slam title since the 2013 Wimbledon. Murray hopes to make his third straight grand slam final. Murray has won 10 straight matches on grass.
