Igor Severino: There’s no excuse for biting opponent

Igor Severino, who was released from the UFC after biting his adversary last weekend, said there is “nothing that could justify” his actions that night. Severino, of Brazil, was disqualified in the second round of his UFC debut, after he bit down on Andre Lima’s left arm. Aussie return: Blockbuster UFC 305 event heading to Perth

UFC, together with the Western Australian Government, revealed a multiyear partnership in which UFC will return to Perth with two blockbuster events starting with UFC 305 at RAC Arena on Sunday, August 18. UFC 305 marks the third time Perth has hosted a UFC Pay-Per-View event following the success of UFC 221: Romero vs. Rockhold in February 2018, and most recently, the record-breaking UFC 284: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski in February 2023. Erika Cruz will defend her WBA junior featherweight title versus Nazarena Romero on Saturday, May 11, promoter Matchroom Boxing revealed Wednesday. LAFC finalizing deal with Olivier Giroud through 2025

MLS side LAFC is concluding a deal with AC Milan and France international forward Olivier Giroud, sources confirmed to ESPN. Giroud, 37, is set to join up with LAFC after completing his obligations to the France national team at Euro 2024, which is set to take place between June 14 and July 14. Free agent pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney has agreed to a contract with the Carolina Panthers, the team revealed Wednesday.
