Cleveland Cavaliers acquire Caris LeVert in trade with Indiana Pacers

The Cleveland Cavaliers got Indiana Pacers guard Caris LeVert in a trade Sunday, making a significant addition to one of the most promising young rosters in the Eastern Conference. LeVert goes to the Cavaliers with a 2022 second-round pick via Miami for Ricky Rubio’s expiring contract, a lottery-protected 2022 first-round pick and two second-round picks. The Pacers get a 2022 second-round draft pick via Houston that is likely to be in the low 30s. The Cavaliers are also sending a 2027 second-round pick via the Utah Jazz. Joe West has made it official, retiring from Major League Baseball after umpiring a record 5,460 regular-season games. The 69-year-old West worked his first big league game on Sept. 14, 1976, at third base in Atlanta when the Braves hosted the Houston Astros. Dominic Thiem, the 2020 US Open champion, has delayed his return because of a hurt hand and now plans to make his return at Indian Wells in March. The Chicago White Sox added another name to their rich Cuban history when they revealed Tuesday they had agreed to a contract with outfielder Oscar Colás. Considered one of the top international free agents, Colás received a $2.7 million signing bonus.
