Scoring a combined 32 points in their last seven games, the line of Victor Arvidsson, Ryan Johansen and Filip Forsberg is the hottest in hockey. Nashville has posted 12 OVERs in its last 13 games and it’s the Preds’ first line that bettors have to thank for that trend. Earlier in the year, when Captain Serious was in a dry spell, the ’Hawks went 4-9 SU in games in which Toews didn’t register a point during a 25-game stretch and 8-4 SU in games he did. It’s true that he affects the game in many places other than the scoresheet but it’s clear the ’Hawks are better when Toews makes an impact at the offensive end.
