Prairie Meadows racehorse tests positive for meth

A horse that won a race at Prairie Meadows has tested positive for meth. The horse named Drag Malibu was drug tested shortly after winning the third race of the day on May 29. “The horse had trace amounts of methamphetamine in his body when the horse ran in the race,” stated Brian Ohorilko, administrator of the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission. Ohorilko added that they see positive drug tests a handful of times in the year, but a horse testing positive for meth is nearly unheard of.
