Broncos down to Vic Fangio, Mike Munchak for Head-coaching job

The Denver Broncos have completed five head coach interviews and the team does not plan to interview any more candidates, according to The Athletic’s Nicki Jhabvala. The two finalists for the job are Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak, according to Jhabvala and KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. In addition to Fangio and Munchak, Denver also interviewed former Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano, Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor and New England Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores. Rockets beat Warriors in OT

We’ve all had that feeling before. Golden State can’t miss, their defense is working its special slappy magic. They’re charging ahead, and even their deep bench guys are rolling. It’s looks to be a long night. The Rockets came out flat, Golden State came out fired up, and firing. The Rockets missed bunnies and open looks, while Golden State shot 64% overall, and 47% from three for the first half. Add to that James Harden took a nasty shot to the chops from Kevon Looney’s elbow and shoulder and looked a bit confused, confounded, or something starting with “con” anyway. The full Warrior front-runner show […]

Minnesota Twins, DH Nelson Cruz agree to 1 year deal option for 2020

With an opening for a designated hitter and a need for more power in the lineup, the Minnesota Twins found quite a fit on the free agent market with a six-time All-Star in Nelson Cruz. They’ll be counting on his impact beyond the middle of the batting order. There’s a clubhouse filled with still-developing players who could use his wisdom, too. The Twins signed Cruz to a one-year, $14.3 million contract that comes with a $12 million club option for 2020, formalizing Wednesday their addition of a player whose 203 home runs over the previous five seasons are the most […]

Sources previously told ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and Adrian Wojnarowski that the team was preparing for James to miss several games after he suffered the injury on Christmas against the Golden State Warriors.
