Chiefs release D-lineman Isaiah Buggs after multiple arrests

The Kansas City Chiefs on Monday released defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs, who has been arrested multiple times in Alabama this offseason. Buggs was booked on a domestic violence/burglary charge in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on June 16. That came after he was charged May 30 with two misdemeanor counts of second-degree animal cruelty in Tuscaloosa. Two dogs allegedly under his care — a pit bull and a rottweiler mix — were found to be neglected and severely malnourished. The pit bull had to be euthanized. PGA Tour creates sponsor exemption for Tiger Woods, cites ‘exceptional lifetime achievement’

The PGA Tour has created a special sponsor exemption for 15-time major champion Tiger Woods — and Woods alone — based on his “exceptional lifetime achievement,” the tour told its members in a memo Tuesday night. Golfers now have additional 15 minutes to correct scorecards

The temptation would be to refer to a change in the scorecard procedure as the “Jordan Rule,” only because Jordan Spieth was the most recent example. Players now have an additional 15 minutes to correct their scorecard before it is deemed to have been returned. Players were informed at the U.S. Open of the change.
