College Football Week 3

After an opening weekend featuring several massive upsets and improbable comebacks we get ready for week 3 of NCAA Football season with the first game, Houston Cougars at the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Cougars are a national title hopeful this season, and despite being on the road, should have no issue with the Bearcats. Look for Houston to be near a double digit favorite. The Friday night game features the Baylor Bears at the Rice Owls. The Bears, despite their struggles in the off-season should take good care of the Owls in this game.

Then, we get to the big dog games on Saturday. The Florida State Seminoles are on the road at the Louisville Cardinals. Papa John’s Stadium will be rocking in this game, but the Seminoles will be the favorite, and should win the game. The Ohio Bobcats are on the road at the Tennessee Volunteers. Tennessee is another team that’s thinking national title picture, and should be nearly a 20 point favorite in this game.

North Dakota State is on the road at the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa is coming off their Rose Bowl run of a season ago, and should be a huge favorite in this game. The Iowa State Cyclones are at TCU. The Horned Frogs will win at home, and should be a massive favorite in this game, as the Cyclones struggled last season.

Georgia State is at the Wisconsin Badgers. The Badgers are one of the top contenders in the Big Ten. They should roll through the Panthers in this game. Western Kentucky is going to be one of the biggest surprises in this season, and are on the road at Miami Ohio. This should be an interesting game, and likely be a single digit point spread. The Colorado Buffaloes come to Ann Arbor Michigan to take on Coach Jim Harbaugh and his Wolverines. The Wolverines should be nearly a two touchdown favorite over the Buffaloes. James Madison is at North Carolina. This should not be any contest, as the Tar Heels pull out the blowout in this game.

A few other big games in NCAA Football for Week 3 includes the Alabama Crimson Tide at the Ole Miss Rebels. Look for this to be nearly a pick’em game. The top team in the nation is on the road, at a hostile environment. What a game this should be. The Michigan State Spartans are on the road at South Bend to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Both these teams could be Top 10 teams, and look for the home team to get the best in this game.

Finally, two of the top teams in the country will get together as the Ohio State Buckeyes are in Norman Oklahoma, to take on the Sooners. What a game, and a national title implication game. The spread will lean towards the home team, but barely, as the Sooners look to be nearly a point or two favorite.
