Injury: Brown’s Corey Coleman will need surgery

Coleman injured his right hand on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens after he fell awkwardly following an incompletion.

A first-round pick in 2016, Coleman missed six weeks his rookie season with a broken hand. He has six receptions for 62 yards and 1 touchdown in 2 games this season. Against Baltimore, he caught one pass after being thrown to seven times. Coleman’s absence will force the team to look elsewhere for help in the passing game.

Coleman left the game with 13:15 left after a collision with cornerback Marlon Humphrey on an incomplete pass when they jumped up for the ball. Coleman came down hard on his right hand, the same one he broke last year and sat out six games with. Surgery is required and will be out 6-8 weeks source said.
