NCAAB Smart Picks

NCAAB Smart Picks

After a busy week, another Friday is upon us, which means the college basketball world revolves around the Ivy League. The league has been competitive, though top-heavy, so far this year. With most bettors not having the time to study the Ivy League teams, which is a must for making smart picks. Here are the best trends for today’s action.

Harvard Vs. Brown

Harvard has been on a bit of a skid lately, as the Crimson have dropped two of their past three while averaging just 62.7 ppg in that span. Harvard has been a bit of an inconsistent bet with a 2-1-1 ATS mark in their past four. Offense hasn’t exactly been booming when the Crimson play with the UNDER hitting in six of their past eight with a posted total.

Brown has been the definition of an erratic bet, as the Bears have gone 5-4 ATS in their past nine with the total going OVER on five occasions.

Columbia Vs. Penn

Since the start of the 2017 calendar, Columbia has gone 5-2 ATS and 3-0 ATS as an underdog. This will be the Lions’ first road game since finishing up a five-game homestand, and just their second road game in Ivy League play. Their first came against Cornell, a game they won 79-75.

Penn has been some of the best fade material in the nation, as the Quakers have gone 1-8 ATS in their past nine. It’s not like they have been much better on the court, as Penn has gone 2-7 SU in its past nine while being outscored by 6.1 ppg.

Cornell Vs. Princeton

Cornell continues to sit near the bottom of the Ivy League and has done little to inspire hope, as the Big Red are 2-4 SU and 2-3-1 ATS in their past six outings. This will be just Cornell’s second road game in league play this season, but the Big Red did beat Columbia 67-62 in that game despite being a 7.5-point underdog.

Princeton has been a great bet at home this season, as the Tigers are 4-1 ATS at Jadwin Gymnasium. Since the beginning of 2017, Princeton has had three home games while outscoring opponents by an average of 16 ppg. The UNDER has also been a consistent bet when Princeton plays with the team failing to top the total in four straight and six of its past seven.

Dartmouth Vs. Yale

Dartmouth finally won a game in 2017, beating Penn in its last outing. Bettors have been better off fading the Big Green, as they have gone 2-4 in their past six. However, they have covered in each of their past two appearances.

Yale has won and covered in three straight games while averaging 83.3 ppg in that span. With the Bulldogs offense firing on all cylinders, the OVER has also hit in each of those outings.
