Malignaggi had taken issue with photos from his sparring session with the famous athlete, the photos show the UFC star having the upper hand over the experienced boxer. UFC photographer Brandon Magnus also shared a photo in which McGregor is landing a left jab on Malignaggi. The athlete also didn’t liked a pair of pictures posted on twitter because it`s been implied that McGregor landed a knockdown on him. On Wednesday, the 26-year-old was surprised to see a crowd assembled around the ring to watch his session with McGregor. He was angry because usually all sparring sessions are private, it went in with as a chip on his shoulder. He also got bothered because the guys catch him right off the flight and set him up for McGregor to look good in front of the audience.

Malignaggi had praise for McGregor, describing the UFC lightweight league champion as getting better and better with the training sessions. McGregor implemented more of what they wanted to do in their game plan. Sparring with Malignaggi was undoubtedly good preparation for McGregor ahead his August 26 fight. The fact the athlete will no longer work with McGregor will do little to help the UFC champion to close the gap on the unbeaten Mayweather.
