Red Sox’s Chris Sale to undergo Tommy John surgery

The elbow issue that has dogged Boston Red Sox ace Chris Sale since last season has led to the worst case scenario. On Thursday the Red Sox announced Sale will undergo Tommy John surgery. He will miss the entire 2020 season and likely the start of the 2021 season as well. Red Sox promote Ron Roenicke to interim manager

The Boston Red Sox have replaced former manager Alex Cora with bench coach Ron Roenicke as interim manager, the team announced Tuesday. Cora parted ways with the team last month following his role in the Houston Astros sign-stealing scheme in 2017 when he was the Astros bench coach.
