Garland scores 24 points, Cavaliers beat Bulls 115-92

Darius Garland scored 24 points and rookie power forward Evan Mobley had 16 points and nine rebounds, sending the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 115-92 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night. Garland also had six assists as Cleveland won for the fifth time in seven games, earning its most lopsided home victory of the season. Mobley, the third overall draft pick, shot 8 of 11 from the field and had a season-high five blocked shots and two steals. “Whatever it takes to win, I’m about it,” Garland said. “I just try to get everybody else involved because we’re all hard-working. Evan got us started and got […]

Embiid, Curry lead short-handed 76ers past DeRozan, Bulls

Joel Embiid had 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in his return to the lineup, and Seth Curry scored 22 points and hit a crucial jumper late to lead the Philadelphia 76ers over the Chicago Bulls 103-98 on Wednesday night. Georges Niang added 18 points for the short-handed 76ers, who have won four in a row. In addition to Ben Simmons (personal reasons), who has missed all eight matches, Philadelphia was without starters Tobias Harris (health and safety protocols) and Danny Green (hamstring). DeMar DeRozan tied a season high with 37 points for Chicago and grabbed 10 rebounds. Zach LaVine scored 27 for the Bulls, who nearly came back from a double-digit deficit in the second […]

Zach LaVine says this season ‘crucial’ for direction of Chicago Bulls, his own future

Zach LaVine was excited by the Chicago Bulls’ aggressive offseason, but says this campaign is crucial in determining the direction for the team and himself as he enters the final season of his contract. “At the end of the day it’s a business,” LaVine told ESPN on Thursday. “They did what was best for the team and I will continue to go out there and do what’s best for the team as well. Durant scores 21, Nets beat Bulls 115-107

Kevin Durant had 21 points and eight assists, and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Chicago Bulls 115-107 on Tuesday night despite Zach LaVine’s 41 points. Joe Harris added 17 points and Bruce Brown had 15 as Brooklyn won its second consecutive after a four-game slide. Chicago had its three-game winning streak — and probably its postseason hopes — end. Brooklyn, which lost guard Kyrie Irving to an apparent facial injury early in the second half, led 93-74 at the start of the final period and sat its starters for most of the period. LaVine, who had 12 points in the fourth, forced them back in by scoring eight straight to […]

Chicago Bulls at Milwaukee Bucks

The last time the Chicago Bulls visited the Milwaukee Bucks, it resulted in an embarrassing defeat for the home team. The Bulls’ play on defense in consecutive losses can also be considered embarrassing. Some of those issues on defense were seen last week when these teams met ahead of Tuesday night’s rematch at the Bradley Center. The Bulls will be eager to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Wizards in a disappointing 114-100 defeat last night. Derrick Rose led the offense with 23 points, Jimmy Butler added 19 points and seven assists while Pau Gasol added a double-double of 15 […]

Boston Celtics at Chicago Bulls

The last time the Chicago Bulls faced the Boston Celtics, they walked away with a third straight loss and began to question what they had in front of them. The Bulls responded with a dramatic turnaround and will put a five-game winning streak on the line when they host the Celtics in a rematch Thursday. The Celtics will be looking for a win after losing three of their last four including a 99-94 home loss to the Pistons last night. Isaiah Thomas led the team in scoring with 22 points and 10 assists but shot just six of 22 from […]
