In the final week of the PGA Tour testing players as a requirement to play, Ted Purdy and Chris Couch had to withdraw from the Barbasol Championship on Tuesday when they tested positive for the coronavirus. That makes four players who have tested positive in the last 12 days. Harry Higgs out of Vivint Houston Open after testing positive for coronavirus

PGA Tour player Harry Higgs has tested positive for COVID-19 and has withdrawn from this week’s Vivint Houston Open. Higgs, 28, who is in his second campaign on the PGA Tour and acquired on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019, last played at the Zozo Championship at Sherwood two weeks ago, where he tied for 54th. Harris English became the fifth PGA Tour player to record a positive test for the coronavirus on Monday and has been withdrawn from the Rocket Mortgage Classic as a result. After just two positive COVID-19 tests over the first three weeks of its return, the PGA Tour has now exceeded that number over the last four days.
