The New Orleans Saints are going to be without starting left tackle Terron Armstead the next few weeks, including Thursday’s game versus the Atlanta Falcons. But he was just as quick to thank fans for their continued support, and assure them that he’s working to return as soon as possible. “Thank you to everyone for the prayers and positivity,” Armstread wrote, “16 games was a goal of mine, so man it really hurts not being able to […]

Lamar Jackson leads Patrick Mahomes in Pro bowl voting

Lamar Jackson currently does not have a peer when it comes to the NFL MVP race. According to an NFL press release, Jackson had already got 146,171 fan votes as of Wednesday evening, less than a week after fans could start voting for their favorite players.  Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was second with 116,325, with fellow quarterback — and league MVP candidate — Russell Wilson coming in third with 115,370 votes. Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (106,167 votes) and Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (100,218 votes) rounded […]

Browns, center JC Tretter agree to Three-year extension

The Browns are in no position to let any of their quality offensive linemen get away. Patriots trade DE Michael Bennett to Cowboys

The Michael Bennett test in New England did not work out as planned. The outspoken defensive end is moving on to the Dallas Cowboys. The Patriots traded Bennett for a seventh-round pick that can improve to a sixth-round selection in 2021, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. Bennett’s versatility will be a benefit to the Cowboys’ defensive line. It ends a short stint in New England for Bennett, who was suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team. On Wednesday, Bennett detailed on his one-game suspension, which came from a disagreement with defensive line coach Bret Bielema. “It’s America, you can voice your opinion about certain situations,” Bennett […]

Patriots acquire WR Mohamed Sanu from Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons are trading wide receiver Mohamed Sanu to the New England Patriots in exchange for a second-round pick according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Schefter stated that the Patriots have been attempting to trade for Sanu dating back to the 2019 NFL Draft.  Sanu, 30, has 33 receptions for 313 yards and a touchdown this season. The Falcons were loaded at the position with Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and others so Sanu became replaceable. Atlanta (1-6) has apparently chosen to be sellers at the NFL trade deadline.  The Patriots have been searching for help at wide receiver for some time. They gave Antonio Brown a shot but it was not a match. In previous […]

Sam Darnold won’t return for Jets, Luke Falk to start against Eagles

With New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold now cleared for non-contact practice, he finally seems to be trending in the right direction to play Sunday at the Philadelphia Eagles (2-2).  Jets coach Adam Gase even says the odds are now better “than what they’ve been.” However, if Darnold is incapable to suit up in Week 5, the Jets (0-3) will once again turn to backup Luke Falk.  Falk has taken a careful approach to New York’s passing game since being named the starter, which is understandable considering he never played an NFL snap until called into action in Week 2.  If Falk […]

Vikings re-sign Treadwell for depth; Beebe to IR

The Minnesota Vikings re-contracted recipient Laquon Treadwell four weeks after separating from the previous first round, the team said Tuesday. He suffered on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders between 34 and 14 ligament tears in the ankle and should undergo no surgery according to a league source. Recipient Josh Doctson was placed in an injured reserve at the beginning of the season. These injuries had reduced Minnesota to three healthy recipients – Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs […]
