As we close out the year, there is a lot to be defined in sports, such is the case for College Football, Friday December 30^th will see one of the best scheduled games this bowl season. In the final game of the bowl schedule, the Orange Bowl will be played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Florida.

The Michigan Wolverines will take on the Florida State Seminoles. Michigan comes into the game ranked 6th in the country. The Wolverines are 10-2, but coming off a tough loss in the regular season finale to Ohio State.

On the other side, the Florida State Seminoles are 11th in the country. Florida State has won four straight games, and are 9-3 on the season. The Seminoles finished third in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Atlantic Division. The point spread for this game is the Michigan Wolverines -7 over the Florida State Seminoles.

The Florida State Seminoles are seeking their fifth straight win. The Seminoles last loss came to Clemson in that 37-34 thriller. Since then, Florida State picked up wins over North Carolina State, Boston College, Syracuse and the Florida Gators. Florida State is one of the top running teams in college football. Dalvin Cook has been outstanding for the Seminoles.

The running back has more than 1,600 yards on the ground, and has been in the end zone 18 times. Outside of the loss to Clemson, the Florida State Seminoles also took losses to the Louisville Cardinals and North Carolina Tar Heels. Florida State finished below both the Tigers and Cardinals in the conference standings.

The Michigan Wolverines are a little irritated they are not playing for a national title. The Wolverines have two losses. The first came in Iowa City on a field goal as time expired, and the other came in Columbus Ohio in double overtime. The Wolverines were one of the best offensive teams in all of college football. The Wolverines scored 40 points or more in six of their first seven games of the season.

The Wolverines saw Amara Darboh finish the regular season with 52 receptions, 7 touchdowns and more than 820 yards receiving. The Wolverines are led by head coach Jim Harbaugh, who played his college football in Ann Arbor as well.

This is one of the most anticipated bowl games of the season. If the field expanded to 8 teams, both of these teams would be great additions to play for a national title. Both teams are very well coached, and both programs have great history. Remember, Florida State is not too far removed from winning a national championship, and Michigan is not too far away. Look for the Wolverines to angry in this game and walk away with a pretty easy win.
