Peralta to have surgery, expected to return for spring

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta will undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder, manager Torey Lovullo revealed Tuesday. “David has elected to have surgery on his right shoulder,” Lovullo told 98.7 FM’s “Burns & Gambo” show. “I don’t know what the diagnosis is or what the procedure will be, but his 2019 season is over.” Peralta is expected to be fully recovered in time for spring training in February, Lovullo added. The Diamondbacks placed Peralta on the 10-day injured list last week with right AC joint inflammation. He also missed three weeks in July due to an inflamed AC joint.
