Lakers’ Anthony Davis suffers sprained thumb against Nets

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis experienced a sprained thumb in the team’s preseason game in China versus the Brooklyn Nets, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. However, it appears that it’s only a minor injury as initial exams revealed a Grade 1 sprain without any ligament harm, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The 26-year-old had maintained good health in the two seasons prior to 2018-19, appearing in 75 games in both seasons.
