Springboks could replace Siya Kolisi as captain – Erasmus

South Africa’s double World Cup-winning captain Siya Kolisi may not lead the side this year despite playing excellent rugby for French club Racing 92, coach Rassie Erasmus stated on Tuesday. Erasmus left his role as director of rugby to return as head coach of the Springboks ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia and has hinted that some of the ‘old guard’ will be phased out over the next few seasons. OG Anunoby lifts Knicks to blowout win over 76ers in return

What a difference a player makes – and, specifically, OG Anunoby for the New York Knicks. After scoring the fewest points in an NBA match in over three years without him Sunday in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers here at Madison Square Garden, Anunoby returned from a several-week absence with an elbow injury to help deliver a 106-79 victory over their rivals down Interstate 95. Jackson Merrill to join Padres for opener in Korea, Shildt says

San Diego Padres manager Mike Shildt stopped just short of declaring that shortstop prospect Jackson Merrill has already locked down an everyday role in his outfield, even though it has become fairly obvious throughout camp.
