Mendez has split his last four fights and is coming off a April loss to Robert Easter Jr. Mendez is from the Dominican Republic, who is also an accomplished boxer and a former IBF Super Featherweight champion. Mendez isn’t in the best form right now, but he is an experienced boxer who just turned 30 years old and has a solid reach of 70 inches that allows him to do damage with his jab. Mendez has some op behind his punches and he’s one of three guys to knockout Juan Carlos Salgado. The obvious concern with Mendez is that he hasn’t looked great recently, especially after getting knocked out in his last bout. This will be Mendez’s first fight in the United Kingdom.

Overall, Campbell has the overwhelming power advantage in this bout and is simply the more polished boxer in all areas. Mendez has been hit or miss lately and he doesn’t have anything that can counter Campbell’s power punches. Not to mention the fact Campbell will be the huge crowd favorite.
