James Harden explodes for 39, has Brooklyn Nets’ confidence ‘through the roof’ with Kevin Durant nearing return

James Harden’s big night for the Brooklyn Nets started with a couple of step-back 3-pointers, but it was the burst in his step and explosion in his drives that really opened eyes on Monday night. In his second match back from the NBA’s health and safety protocols, a fresh Harden continued his dominant play of late with 39 points, 15 assists and 8 rebounds to lead the Nets to a 124-108 victory over the depleted LA Clippers. Phoenix Suns hopeful Chris Paul returns for Game 3 vs. LA Clippers

There is optimism within the Phoenix Suns organization that Chris Paul, out for the start of the Western Conference finals because of the league’s health and safety protocols, could return for Game 3 on Thursday in Los Angeles, sources told ESPN. However, as of the start of Game 2 on Tuesday, Paul had yet to be cleared, sources said.
