Former NFL head coach Dom Capers has joined Jacksonville’s coaching staff as senior defensive assistant, returning to the Jaguars two decades after his first stint with the team. The team says Capers will work closely with defensive coordinator Todd Wash and the other assistants on that side of the ball. Capers served as Jacksonville’s defensive coordinator from 1999-2000 under current executive Tom Coughlin. Yankees star Aaron Judge is “as healthy as he’s been” since entering the big leagues, manager Aaron Boone revealed Sunday.  The 26-year-old slugger has dealt with a variety of injuries throughout his career, including shoulder and wrist issues that caused him to miss some time. Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said in early January that quarterback Joe Flacco would have a market, and the prediction proved correct. The Ravens on Wednesday agreed in principle to trade Flacco to the Denver Broncos in exchange for a fourth-round pick, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via sources informed of the situation. Rapoport added that Flacco, who had three years remaining on his contract, will need to rework his deal for the Broncos. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released Vinny Curry on Tuesday after the eighth-year defensive end spent one season with the team. The move comes four weeks before the start of free agency and effectively makes Curry an unrestricted free agent. The Buccaneers signed Curry last March after he had been released by the defending-champion Philadelphia Eagles four days earlier. The Indianapolis Colts have signed Klayton Adams as assistant offensive line coach and Howard Mudd as senior offensive assistant. Additionally, Marcus Brady has been elevated from assistant quarterbacks coach to quarterbacks coach. Mudd has over 40 years of NFL experience as a coach (1974-2009, 2011-12) and player (1964-71). He re-joins Indianapolis after serving as the team’s offensive line coach for 12 seasons (1998-2009). Mudd was a member of the Colts’ Super Bowl XLI championship team.
