Derby prospects: Practical Move drills for Santa Anita Derby

Practical Move worked at Santa Anita Sunday in preparation for Saturday’s Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby.

Trained by Tim Yakteen, the son of Practical Joke has gained his last two starts, the San Felipe (G2) and the Los Alamitos Futurity (G2) in December.

Ranked No. 6 in the Kentucky Derby standings with 60 points, he likely has earned his way to the Churchill Downs starting gate on May 6. But he could erase all doubt with a good showing Saturday, as the Santa Anita Derby awards 100-40-30-20-10 points to the top five finishers.
