(racingpost.com)- ANDREA ATZENI will partner Qatar Racing’s leading Investec Derby hope Elm Park at Epsom on Tuesday morning but the rider could have at least one more exciting potential mount to consider after it emerged unbeaten French performer Sumbal is being assessed for a supplementary entry.

Atzeni teamed up with the Prix Greffulhe winner on Monday morning, while later in the day Sheikh Fahad was at Cologne to see Pearl Bloodstock’s Karpino storm to victory in the German 2,000 Guineas – and in the process enter the owner’s Derby deliberations himself.

William Hill quote the Francis Graffard-trained Sumbal at 25-1 for the Derby. Sunday’s Prix du Jockey-Club is an alternative option.

Racing advisor David Redvers said: “Nothing has been decided. Andrea rode him this morning and said he loves the horse, just as he said the same when he won on him in the Greffulhe.”

Joining Racing Post Trophy winner Elm Park at Epsom for Breakfast with the Stars will be Derby favourite Golden Horn, to be ridden by Frankie Dettori, and fellow John Gosden inmate Jack Hobbs, who will be partnered by William Buick following his partial acquisition by Godolphin.

Gosden is also bringing his Investec Oaks hopefuls Star Of Seville and Jazzi Top for an Epsom sighter, while the early morning line-up is completed by Andre Fabre’s Al Shaqab Racing-owned Oaks entry Al Naamah.

Bet365 on Monday went non-runner, no-bet on the Derby, but they are unlikely to receive many inquiries about Great Glen, ruled out of the race by Ralph Beckett, who plans to saddle the Qatar-owned Bellajeu in the Oaks.

Still very much a Derby hopeful is Goodwood winner Storm The Stars, with a decision due to be taken closer to declaration time.
